Moyer knows.
"When I bought it, different people gave me pictures," Moyer said. "I have a book about railroads that has the Myerstown station on its cover."
Moyer's business is housed in the former Myerstown railroad station at the south end of the borough - at, appropriately enough, 819 S. Railroad St.
When he bought the building in July, a portion of it was being used for equipment storage by a chicken barbecue business, but other than that, the former station has not been occupied for years.
Moyer, 75, can't remember the building being used for anything, but he said some borough residents who are older than he recall its use as a railroad station.
"It's a log building," he said. "It has old beams - heavy, oak beams."
Built in 1857 and now covered with vinyl siding, the former station "looks brand new," Moyer said.
Moyer has owned his own business for 14 years but has worked in the trade since he was a teenager. He has five employees who operate out of four new trucks.
Although most of his customers are in Lebanon County, he said, some live in Reading, Hershey and Ephrata. His only advertisement is "word of mouth."
"I go on reputation," he said.
He and his wife, Doris, live just north of the Lantern Lodge in Jackson Township. Moyer has a son, Sam, who lives in Myerstown; a daughter, Sheila Schoemaker, who lives in Jackson
Township; two grandsons and two granddaughters. For more information, call the business at 866-2926.
